Credits

Credits are the unit Flux uses to meter MCP tool calls and API requests on the Edge plan.

How it works

Every Edge account receives 200 credits per month, granted automatically on the 1st of each calendar month. Credits reset each month — any unused balance from the monthly grant expires and is replaced by the new allocation. Purchased credits do not expire.

You can view your current balance and purchase additional credits in Settings → Credits.

Purchasing more

If you need more than your monthly allocation, two one-time credit packs are available:

PackCreditsPrice
Starter500$5
Pro2,000$15

Purchasing opens a Stripe Checkout session. Once payment completes, credits are added to your balance immediately.

Credit pack purchases require an active Edge plan. Pulse accounts cannot purchase packs.

What uses credits

Credits are consumed by MCP tool calls and Data API requests. The number of credits per call depends on the tool — lightweight lookups cost fewer credits than bulk or scoring operations. Each tool documents its cost in the MCP / API reference.

Key details

  • Monthly grant: 200 credits, refreshed on the 1st of each month (UTC)
  • Monthly grant credits are use-it-or-lose-it — unused free credits do not roll over
  • Purchased pack credits do not expire
  • Credits are per-account, not per-profile (they apply across all tracked profiles on your Edge plan)
  • Rate limits per tool per hour are separate from credit balance — even with credits remaining, hourly rate limits apply

Tips

  • If you're running automated workflows via Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Clay, check your balance before large batch jobs — it's easy to exhaust 200 credits in a single fan-out operation.
  • The 2,000-credit pack ($15) is the better value if you regularly hit your monthly cap.
  • Credits consumed by MCP tools are visible in your usage history in Settings, so you can audit which tools are drawing down your balance fastest.
